Having a turbo means the top part of my car may look quite different than yours. If you want, check the first page of the turbo install section to see how to remove your air filter box and crossover tube.

Remove the upper radiator hose.

With the radiator hose out of the way remove the four bolts holding the two fans in place. (Note if you don't have AC you only have one fan)

You'll have to loosen the bottom four bolts and then slide the fans upward to remove them.

You'll need to click the starter until you can get one of the power steering pulley slots to line up in order to loosen the adjuster.

Loosen the lower bolt on the alternator before using the adjuster bolt to release tension on the belt.

Remove the hoses from the thermostat housing.

I pulled the heater hose to get better access to the-most-hated-bolt. Have a helper use a large screwdriver to gently pry as you pull on the hose. TAKE IT EASY you don't want to break this fitting.

There's the-most-hated-bolt. I'll tell you a secret: this time I didn't put it back! ;-P

Pull the PCV valve off.

Remove and tie back the wiring and remove the cam cover.

The lower pulley comes off with four bolts. I had trouble with these the first time I did it and had to replace one.

Now you can remove the plastic covers and other hose.

You HAVE to move the powersteering pump out of the way. I used a couple of cable ties. Don't disconnect any hydraulic hoses...just the pivot bolt and pull it to the side.

I marked the timing belt for ease in getting back to normal. PLEASE get Graingers or a Factory Manual to reset your timing belt. You HAVE to get it right and it isn't as easy as it might seem. You have to get both the timing set and the tension set and they require two different crankshaft rotations.

There's the old pump.

Here's how it looks. Note that the lower bolt on the heater fitting to the right is not all that easy to access, but it's not that bad either.

Here's the new one. Use new gaskets and do everything in reverse order. Use torque specs where they are given and a bit of loctite to be sure. Have fun!
