Chrome side marker lights with amber LEDs from IL and RSpeed

Great experience even though out of the box the project seemed a little daunting when I noticed that it was not Miata specific and the instructions were all in German.

I removed each of the items from the packaging--great by the way--and conducted the inventory. Light pods, chrome bezels, mounting tabs, mounting bases, zip ties, and vampire clips. All was there. After reading the instructions, I removed the front right light to look at what I had. Although the instructions were not clear, I assumed that black was ground and red was hot. I hooked up the grey/red to red and grey to black. What do you know, it worked the first time! Fronts were easy. The rear took some minor drilling, removal of the taillight assemblies, carpet, and side walls in the trunk. Make sure you hook up the grey/red to the white on the running light (outside red light) and the grey to black. I had to search the miata.net to find the taillight mod and it finally worked. Great product! Easy installation! It looks incredible!

Chromed light weight plastic housing reseambles chrome handles, clear oval light houses 3 LED (which light nice bright red).

Day time - Excellent, especially with clear taillights. Night time - you just want to leave these on. Install, too easy- a 11 yr old did one w/ supervision. Note; I did not cut wires on my 96, detached old & used supplied wire splicer. Careful, plastic chrome can scratch. Feels a little cheap but good finish.

4 replacement side marker lights. The new ones consist of a chromed plastic bezel with a push-in 3 LED light "pod" made by Hella. All the parts are included and of very nice quality.

Installation took about an hour. Start by unscrewing & removing your old corner lights. Cut the wires! Leave enough to work with! Screw brackets in. Assemble lights (pop LED pod into chrome bezel) and splice the wires. Remember to check that you are hooked up correctly before you close things back up. Push assembled light onto the brackets. Voila! The LED portion consists of 3 Amber bulbs in all 4 of the assemblies. If the pods weren't sealed so well I'd consider swapping in some red ones for the back.

Installation was pretty easy but the method of mounting is visible at distances <5', but not painfully so. The LEDs are VERY bright and I think they look very nice. The side markers really add a nice chrome touch IMO. Overall I am quite pleased with this product and happy to have them.
