Electronic delay that keeps interior lights on for 15 or 25 seconds after doors are shut.

Product works great, easy to install. Even controls my Moss Interior Foot Well Light Kit.

This gives me a total of three lights controlled by the delay and that is plenty of interior light for me. Nice to have the lights on while I fumble for the keys and the key hole! Two thumbs up!

The module adds 15 to 25 second delay in shutting off the interior light when the door is closed. The interior light switch still functions so that one can turn on or off the lights. The module only affects the "door" setting. A small jumper lets you select either 15 second or 25 second delay. The module is about a chewing gum size printed circuit board with four wires coming out. The module only supports up to 15 watts total.

The instruction did not match my car's wiring at all (95M) so I had to search through circuit diagrams to find the wires. The module is suppose to be mounted near the fuse box on 90-95 cars but as it turned out, it was much easier to access the wires I needed right off the interior light.

I took off the glove compartment and pushed out the interior light and disconnected the three pin connector. The three lined provide all the connection points for the kit. Red (power), Black (ground), and white (door switch). The crimp connectors that came with the kit was too big for the small wire so I just soldered the wires directly.

After all the connections were made, I just reconnect the three pin connector (be sure to leave the interior light in the off position)and pushed in the module and the interior light back in the hole.

Over all, I'm very pleased with the way the product functions. Now I can close the door and still have time to put the key in the ignition while the lights are still on. I left mine at 15 second setting (which gives me about 10-12 seconds of delay). I think the instruction could have been more accurate but otherwise very nice kit. (By the way, I have Moss interior lights which addes two more interior lights for total of 15 watts.)

Lights Up - 15 or 20 second dome light delay

Works great - once installed properly. I installed it on my 1999. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. On the 1999's, it is wired right behind the dome light switch. I found that using the supplied connectors, it is too cramped to stuff everything back up into the recess behind the switch and seat the switch properly. The switch could not be screwed back into the recess all the way. I solved this by rewireing everything without the connectors. That is, simply stripping the wires, twisting them together, and wrapping with electrical tape.

If I had it to do over again. I would snip the wires (there are two of them) as close to the switch as I could. Then solder two pieces of wire about 4 inches long from the switch. This will give you much more room to work with and make stuffing everything back into the recess easier. I hope my experience helps others.
