Borg Warner 'Premuim' aka 'Supermag' Ignition Wires

Replacement for OEM ignition wires. Medium grey with black boots. 2 short & 2 longer wires. 7mm

My 99 (I bought used from CarMax w/70k) w/76 k on it all of a sudden (and I do mean all of a sudden) wasn't running very well at all. I didn't know what the trouble was, so a garage ran a scan and found the #4 cylinder wasn't firing. They asked, "How old are your ignition wires?" I said, "Huh, you mean those things wear out? They're just wires! They look perfectly fine - no cracks or anything." Anyways, I bought a set of Borg Warner "Supermag" replacements at O'Rilley; paid $45. Manufacturer offers "lifetime" warranty. To my surprise, the engine ran perfectly afterwards. Problem fixed (except I had to disconnect the + battery terminal to re-set the 'check engine' light.)

Easy to install. I wish the seal at the top boot could be as good as OEM wires. Overall quality seems very good. Car idles nicely & runs better than ever.

Borg- Warner Supermag Plug Wires

[10/2/2001] Reviewed by: Brandon Dingeman - pezman@spa.net

Applicable to: '90 - '97 1.6 liter

7mm silicone wires purchased from an online vendor around the neighborhood of 60 dollars. Grey coloring with black *rubber*? boots.

They work fantastic. I upgraded to these right after buying the car with 88,000 miles on it - and the acceleration improvement was phenomenal. I couldn't expect much more from a spark plug wire, especially for the relatively low price.
