CXracing all aluminium radiator.

Great Product.I was able to install the ebay CXracing radiator in about 45 minutes. There was no extra cutting or bending involved. The radiator installed with both stock fans in place,by only removing the flexible air inlet elbow. The radiator that was in the car when i got it was a all copper auto trans unit. After i installed some fog lamps in the nose, the temp would climb with the ac on pulling long hills. The new radiator completely cured this issue!

CX Racing Radiator from ebay retailer

Well I had to replace my stock radiator after it split at the plastic/aluminum seam at 73k. I shopped all of the usual suspects from the dealer to aftermarket high performance shops. I was looking at $137.00 to $400.00 plus for an all aluminum style radiator. I was hard pressed to see a difference between the high dollar models and the $137.00 model from CX Racing. Probably all made in the same factory someplace in China. I received the product quickly from the eBay seller. Excellent product, all welds were professionally done and clean...one small spot on the top that holds the overflow hose required a little work with a file to make if perfectly smooth. Installation was an all day job...I am the third owner of my Miata and at some point along the time it has been bumped in the front a time or two. The radiator is at least twice as thick as the stock unit and required some finesse to manipulate it into place. I have A/C and did not want the condenser or the radiator to ! touch, so I moved the condenser forward toward the bumper relocating it in front of the mounting brackets welded to the chassis. This required a spacer to be fabricated for the mounting brackets on the A/C lines, no biggie a trip to HD or Lowes for a nylon spacer or two. Once the A/C condenser was relocated and firmly mounted in place I was able to slide the radiator in place. The fan in the metal shroud can be mounted ahead of time, but the one in the plastic shroud has to be slid into place after the radiator is in place. The shroud did requite a little trimming with the handy dandy Dremmel tool, nothing major. There is now a nice 1‰ gap between the radiator and the contender, and I was able to reuse the stock mounting brackets for the radiator. I filled it up with 2 gallons of 50/50 mix, no drips, no runs, and no errors. Very satisfied and thankful I did not chunk off $400.00 bucks for some high end gimmick.

Excellent product, would highly reccomend.

CX Racing Aluminum Racing Radiator with Fan Shroud and Dual 12" Slim Fans

I am associated with a company that sells this product.

Applicable to: '90 - '97 1.6 liter

The CX Racing Radiator was installed along with the aluminum fan shroud and two 12" slim racing fans. The radiator and shroud are aluminum pieces, well constructed. All bolts and washers came included. It all bolted together quite well.

I have driven over 10k miles on my setup, and have not had any problems at all. I drive my car hard as well. I drive to and from racing and drifting events as well as participating.

The fans are universal fans, so you will have to wire them up as such.

CXRacing ALUMINUM Racing RADIATOR 90-97 Miata MX5 Manual (as advertized on ebay)

I installed this radiator and everything seemed fine. It certainly looked like a quality product. After driving 6 miles to my friends house, he noticed something leaking from the car. When I parked the car in the garage, the next day there was a puddle of coolant. I couldn't find the leak until I started the car and it heated up. It was leaking from the lower right hand side where the core meets the bottom tank (as best as I can tell).

I called CXRacing and they told me that since it had been longer than 15 days since I bought the radiator, they would not replace it. They did offer to sell me another one for half price and actually said you get what you pay for. So I took their advice and spent the extra money on a Koyo.

Cxracing Aluminum Radiator

All aluminum radiator from ebay sold by a company called CXracing. Fits 90-97.

Shipping was very quick. It was nicely packaged in a Miata specific box. It looked good and shiny in that box:-). It was an easy install. The longest part was trying to find a clip I lost in the grass that fell off the old radiator. This radiator literally is about 2 or so times wider than the stock unit so some work is required to make it fit in that same little space. Those with the stock intake have to cut off the little resonator tube that hangs next to the belts. With my 160 thermo and this nicely built radiator...I did notice some cool temperatures whilst driving around.

The only thing that I worry about is the welds around the tube that connects to the upper radiator hose...they seem kind of....half ass. It is still bling-bling so it looks good...but they could have done a better job...I just hope they hold up!
