The Halo Spark Plug by Halo Spark Plug, Inc.

The Halo spark plug is a novel concept that replaces the conventional single or newer multiple electrode designs with a single circular "HALO" design. The effect is an infinite number of spark paths and an open area above the electrodes that does not block or "quench" the spark. The claim is more performance and fuel economy thru quicker and greater spark production with nickel construction. The theory sounds great.

The plugs were installed along with new (Magnecore 8mm MY CHOICE) plug wires as recomended by the Mfg. Quality of construction seemed comparable to OEM. No failures noted.

After 20,000, I have experienced a 2-3 mpg in fuel mileage (I am a nut about gas mileage - definite perk of the Miata). Subjectively, the engine is smoother at cold start and seems to rev to the limit quicker. I have noticed an increased tendency to "knock" when using regular gas at low speeds in hot weather. Overall pleased with the purchase.

Under 30 minutes to remove completely
