Auto Pro DIY alignment tools

Bought both the Caster/Camber Gauge and the Toe gauge from www.racerwholsale.com. Price was a very affordable $40 each for a total of $80 Plus a few dollars for a piece of Conduit for the Toe gauge. This is about the cost of single alignment. Clear instructions, easy to use. Good precision and quality alloy construction. The Camber gauge is held against the rim and a vernier adjustment on a bubble level provides the Camber reading in degrees. Precision down to 1/8 of a degree is possible. The Toe gauge consists of 2 aluminum alloy uprights that slide onto a piece of conduit. Needle points are pressed into a piece of supplied tape, you rotate the wheel and measure again on the front side. Simply adjust to recommended Toe of 1/8 inch or so.

After installing a set of Eibach Springs on my M2, I set about tweaking the alignment with these tools. With the Miata Performance manual, Camber front and rear were very easy to set to factory recommendations. Toe was equally simple. Total time to do both front and rear was about 1.5 hours. Including the 2.5 for the spring install, I barely dented a Saturday. Test ride after indicated everything was spot on. Highly recommended if you are in the habit af fooling with your suspension on a regular basis. These tools pay for themselves after one usage.
