This is a do-it-yourself alarm system. A very basic system. It has a 1 piece self contained wire for installation. They say to connect it to the positive battery cable, use the middle bolt of the fuse block instead. It has a dual shock sensor, instant panic mode, car finder, auto alarm reset, scan deterrent, flashing LED, passive/automatic arming.

I installed it myself this morning. It was very easy once I figured out to connect the wire to the fuse block instead of running all the way back to the battery. The hardest part was running the LED wire inside to connect the LED flasing light to the dash.

Basically, this alarm only cost $40 from JC Whitney. I believe there are other features you can purchase to add on later if you want. I just couldn't spend $400 on a fancy alarm, plus my insurance company required me to have an alarm. I went to Radio Shack and bought a larger LED light, only cost $2.00, so you can really see it blinking from outside the car. The siren isn't the loudest, but it's enough to startle someone. If you want an extremely basic alarm, then I recommend this, especially if your budget impaired.

Under 30 minutes to remove completely
