Easi-lift (hood lift system) from Matt Developments

A nitrogen filled gas strut (supplied with springs to replace hood bump-stops) which enables your soft-top to be raised and lowered with one finger!!! I now can't wait to exercise that 'finger' in the coming summer months!!!

One gripe that many MX5/Miata/Roadster owners have is that it's particulalry hard to 'get it up' from the drivers seat. thios system not only enables you to do it but you can with one finger!! Matt Clark (of Matt Developments fame) already produces rear glass screen conversion kits for the trade and end users. Last year Matt supplied and fitted a bottle green mohair twillfast hood to my 91 Roadster and mentioned he was working on this development. At the time I insisted that I wanted our car to be the first to have it fitted. As it was the first Matt fitted it free!! Normal cost is between £65-85 (dependant on model and type of hood) When releasing the hood simply release the latches and push back the hood gently lowers and nestles into position. I'm luck that I have a self folding glass window so no need for me to unzip before I unclip :O) Details of the Easi-lift are not on his site yet, but Matt contact details can be found at: www.mattdevelopments.co.uk

Quality build nitrogen filled single strut and high tensile springs. Certainly the best value for money mod I've made to my car!! I have a few pictures taken at install if anyone's interested. I estimate that the kit weighs less than 2lbs so shipping should be quite reasonable (if they allow nitrogen struts to be shipped by air??)

Under 30 minutes to remove completely
