Yellow Silicone High Temp Hoses 2 replace Vacuum lines only

Yellow get's dirty, but I simple green the engine every 10k miles. Hoses do not get hard like black factory hoses.

No problems. None!

Very nice upgrade for the engine compartment. Silicone hoses replace or go over most hoses, throttle cable, hood rod, etc. I got the blue hose kit to match the NGK spark plug wires and Blue Moss oil cap.

Simple installation. As another reviewer noted, the most difficult part was getting some of the OEM hoses off. The kit comes with cutting tools and color matched ties. I used the ties, rather than the original metal clamps and they seem to work fine. Look good too.

Tech support from the company is very good. One piece of advice they gave me conserned the brake booster hoses. I used the 10 mm hose in the kit for these two hoses. The company advised they are not to be used as the OEM hoses have a nylon liner which is required. The company only has the lined hoses in red at the current time although they plan to have additional colors in the future.

Very colorful, high quality hose replacement kit. Engine compartment looks like a showcar.

Just do one hose at a time and you'll have a professional looking show car type underhood. Remember the previously mentioned check valve in the brake booster line. Not quite enough hose if you have the Jackson SC, had to buy some extra pieces.

Only hard part is deciding what color to use. Not for fuel, oil or water. Buy some worm type clamps and upgrade those while you're at it.

A beautiful range of colours including fluorescent ones. Vacuum and dress-up hoses of five different sizes. Not meant to replace stock OEM oil, fuel and water hoses except for windshield washer hose and radiator overflow hose.

Speaking for a 1991, the kit comes with a generous excess of hose lengths to tolerate any dumb mistakes in the guessing of lengths. Some of the old stock rubber OEM vacuum hoses had to be cut at the ends to allow removal as they were too tight to remove. Some of the hose barbs like those on the purge valve are plastic [hell, the whole purge valve is plastic] are fragile, and savaging the stock hose to remove it, is basically a must if you do not want to destroy those fragile hose barbs. Also, you should not follow their web pictures where they remove all the stock steel clamps and replace them with their included tie wraps. You should retain the stock clamps and use those colour matched tie wraps at those silicone hoses where there were no clamps in the first place.

Make sure you take a good look at their website illustrations and pictures of which stock hoses to replace. Also, when replacing the biggest hose there which is the one from the brake booster to the dummy throttle body, be forewarned that the stock OEM rubber hose has a plastic valve [at least there was one on my RHD 1991 MX5] inside there. I salvaged it from the stock hose to place it in the new silicone hose. It is a unidirectional valve, so make a note of which way the bullet shaped valve was originally facing. I found it by way of serendipity when I butchered the original stock rubber hose to take a look at the inner diameter of the middle of the stock hose.

Having said the above, it sure does look like a nice investment and the engine compartment now looks rather pretty. On some of the thinner silicone hoses, I can even feel the vacuum generated by the running engine when I touch the thinner hoses. Felt good to know it was working without having to pull those hoses out.

any color you want silicone hose kit. Used to color match the engine compartment.

I thought the product was going to be pre cut the all the hoses you need to replace but it is not. It is just 5 rolls of hose in different diameters. The instructions give you recomendations as to what size hose to use for what (ex 6 mm for windshield washer hose etc...) but you can decide which hoses you want to replace. Kit comes with hose, zip ties (color matched), an exacto knife, and a "hose splitter".

Not a bad kit overall, love the color I got, (dark blue to match the car TBM) install is easy. Take old hose off, measure and cut a new hose and slip it on, and VOILA new engine compartment!

Not an installed item
