GPS Navigation system

This is a system that turns your PDA (Compaq IPAQ in my case) into a GPS Navigation system which includes street level maps, voice turn instructions, automatice rerouting trip planning - on and on.

Rather than buy one of those $3000 systems, I turned my PDA into a truely awesome GPS navigaiton system for my miata. Just the right size. The automatic routing and rerouting is simply uncanny. Most of the data resides on your PC. You download what you need into your PDA. You set up your trip on your PC then it grabs map data at your start, destination, stops, and a corrider along the route. I have nearly the entire North East loaded into my 128 meg flash card, street level data with "points of interest". So for under $900 I have a multi functional PDA with a GPS and some truely amasing software. I've driven into towns I've never been to before with nothing more than an address and this gadget tells and shows me how to get there. Really cool tool that lets my passenger enjoy the scenery rather than ride with a map in their lap. Info at: http://www.travroute.com/products/default.html
