Unlike some other types, the Tekniq unit works great with absolutely no looseness or free play whatsoever. I have the street legal version which requires a key to unlock for removal. The units have random locator pin configurations to reduce possibility of someone with another Tekniq unit using their wheel on your car. Tip - Do NOT lubricate any of the mechanism other than the key lock. A dry friction pin fit ensures the tight wobble free interface.

Installation was very simle and quick with one problem. The base unit will not allow the use of the Momo horn button because it is not deep enough. I had a Momo spacer which when mounted between my Momo Race and the Tekniq unit allowed enough depth for the horn button. I wanted the steering wheel closer anyway so it worked fine. You may not, so be sure to correspond with Tekniq to get the right configuration and spacer.
