Nakamichi CD400 Mobile CD Receiver

Wow...what a great headunit...easy install...fabulous sound..direct connection to my XM Roady2. Combining this with my Clearwater speakers, I feel this system is super and far superior to the stock equipment. What I also found is great is that the antenna only goes up on the AM/FM. Stays down for the CD mode and the AUX mode for the XM Roady2. I highly recommend this unit. Purchases from CBRStereo.com. Actually got it from them through ebay for $289 delivered. Treat yourself and get one!

Nakamichi CD 35 Head unit (used unit that was manufactured in 1997). This is an AM/FM receiver with a single CD. 35W X 4 max output.

Clean looking deck that produces a wonderful sound. Not fancy (didn't want the disco show that the new decks are known for), and it's as close to oem looking that I could find. Although it's only a 35W unit, it produces a rich sound that fills up the cockpit even with the top down. It also has a nice amber color on the faceplate display.

Great replacement for the OEM cassette deck that came in the base 95 miata. You will need a new mounting kit ($25) to replace the oem kit, the Nak is a single din unit and the oem deck was a din and a half. This was a used item purchased off of Ebay for $105.00 and worth every penny. Also replaced the factory speakers with new Infinity 6002si (6 1/2 inch coax's) at the same time. I had a local stereo shop perform the deck and speaker install, including the mounting bracket it cost me $99.00 which I felt was worth it. The whole replacement package (Nakamichi deck, Infinity speakers and professional installation) cost less than $300.

AM/FM CD with 3 sets of pre-amp outs and an aux. input.

I just installed this in a 99 Miata with a Bose system. The install was not too difficult with the worst part being fishing speaker wire through the Molex plugs of the door. I'm running the unit through a MTX 4300 to a pair of SAS 8" coaxial speakers an eventually a sub. This head unit rocks. Great sound, lots of control (bass, mid, treb, mute, etc.), looks almost stock, and it has a set of aux inputs for anything with RCA outputs. (tape, tv, mp3, etc.) It includes a remote, which I leave in the glove box, and fits great in the dash. I was showing it off to my friends and they couldn't hardly tell it wasn't factory by the looks. I got one for $329.00 so its a little pricey, but I think its well worth it.

Great unit with useful features. Very clean and looks great in a 99+ Miata. Now I just need a sub. Any ideas?
