Murata Hardtop

Aftermarket hardtop of OEM quality, made of fiberglass!

Initially, I was worried about the fiberglass construction, but this proved to be a groundless concern. No attention to detail has been spared, with rear glass incorporating demister. Optional light dome was included on this item, and light colored roof lining (option) looks good.

Color of hardtop is black (color was added during manufacturing process) and several other colors were available at time of purchase.

I consider the hardtop to be very strong; it was a 'first-time, no problem' fit, and the price was right!

I am very, very pleased with the whole thing, and I can't stress enough the quality of the fit and of the finish; it really does look OEM.

A new, genuine Mazda hardtop was outside my budget, and I didn't have much luck in tracking down a more reasonable second-hand item.

A friend managed to find this one for me in Japan, and beat the price down to just on (equivalent) US$1,150-00 for a new item! Apparently, it was originally about US$1,400-00, so this more than paid for the freight.

It arrived well packed, and was blemish free.

I'd rate it at 9 1/2; if it was a Mazda original, I'd rate it at 10 !

I'm trying to find out if Murata do anything else for the Miata/Eunos/MX-5.
