3-point strut tower brace for the front wheels

I bought this brace about 6 months and 8k miles ago. I use the Miata mainly for "Spirited" backroad driving and track days.

I installed this brace in about 40 minutes, but I'm sure I could do it more quickly the 2nd time. I'm really impressed with the JRSTB. I replaced my eBay STB with the JR brace and immediatly felt a nice difference. Turn-in is much more precise and tracking in the freeway has improved as well. I lost some of that tracking when I installed my FM springs and AGXs, and it's welcome back! For the money it cost, I'd buy it again as it lowered my lap times a little bit, makes the Miata respond to steering inputs instantly and it was easy to install as well. Drilling into the cowl(to anchor the brace to the firewall) was a little scary, but I'm stoked that I went through with it.

3-point tower brace

Installation was performed by the local Mazda dealership.

While the price of this unit is considerably higher than any others on the market it does a far better job of stiffening the car due to the firwall mounting. Be aware that the brakelines crossing the firewall will probably have to be moved. The clutch tubing will also likely need some reforming. If anything was disturbing it was the lack of clearance between the brake fluid reservior and the brace tube. I've emailed Jackson Racing about removing some material from the brace in that area but have not yet received a reply.

I like that look of this JR Strut bar. It's very tough and strong. Mounts to firewall from both side, which makes car much stiff and offer better handling.

I like it, it does make drive more stiff and ride is much more controllable. One of few I bought this is that I just got my JRSC installed and I need to replace Ractive STB. I was looking at Moss and Saw that JR sells STB works with SC. So I jumped on it. I thought price was little high, but now I am happy that I bought it. Looks cool too.

I recommended to everybody who has SC. Price is little high, but it is worth it. I found out later after purchasing it, FM also has STB works with SC, but they are not attached to firewall and way that bar is shaped it makes it little weaker than straight bar like RACTIVE. Overall I am happy with it. You could check it at my Miata page, http://miata.cardomain.com/id/tomlin1
