Wet Okole neoprene (wet suit material) seatcovers with Red insert.

To start: I love them! Read these reviews or search through the forums and it won't take long to realize that there is a fading problem with these seats. I picked these up used off of a guy, the inserts were almost purely white! Only around the edges could it be seen that they were once red. However, the black had survived quite well. I went to a craft store and purchased some red fabric paint which I applied with a paintbrush. It worked out really well, the seats are a little bit sitffer, no paint comes off on clothes, and the new color is holding up just fine. The fit to the seats is fabulous, but not perfect (as close as I can imagine though). Get someone with tiny hands to help with installation or simply remove the seats to do up the snaps on the bottom.

After restoring the color, these seat covers are fabulous. Also, the Wet Okole site suggests not removing them, but simply wiping them to clean as they don't retain dust/dirt. What a lie. I had to soak, rinse, repeat MANY times in before the water stopped running off dirty (and no damage was done). I also placed them in a clothes drier to help set the fabric paint I used. Again, no damage. While I would be upset paying full price only to have the the inserts immediatley fade, not all is lost! Overall, great seat covers!

Wet Okole neoprene seatcovers

Purchased seatcovers. Installed them 1.5 years ago. Vehicle is never garaged. Vehicle is in the Florida sun in all daylight hours. Vehicle is used everyday for work by construction and service industry workers. Seatcovers have never been cleaned yet (although I plan to soon). Seatcovers have never had protectant applied to them. Seatcovers still look GREAT!

I need another set of Wet Okole seatcovers for another vehicle and would love to get them soon!

Neoprene seat covers

When I first installed them, I was ecstatic. They looked and felt great with a black outer edge and a read insert. Then the fading started. I keep the car garaged--always. I keep a cockpit cover on it whenever I'm parked for an extended period of time. I store the car in the winter. I even live in the cloudy, overcast capital of the world--Syracuse, NY. They still faded! And within a month of putting them on! They're coming off next season to make room for some Crazy Red leathers, which is what I wanted to begin with. Lesson learned.

Seat covers made of neoprene (wet suit material)

Ordered from Serious Auto June 31, and received July 15. Not bad for custom made items. Took about 45 Minutes to install, including all the little "adjustments" that I felt neccesarry, but could be put on in less time. They didn't come with any instructions, but their seat covers! Took about to 2 Minutes to figure out where all the velcro and stuff went in relation to actual seats.

Very nice feel, with one surprising feature-they don't hold nearly as much heat the the black cloth always did. Recommended to anyone that wants someting a little different.

Neoprene covers for the seats, come in a two tone or one colour style. 2 seperate parts.

I loved having these seats, until the fading started after only 2 weeks. It has been impossible to stop, let alone reverse this fading process that has set in. I called Wet Okole, and they refuse to give me a refund, or even replace the red inset for free. I think any company that wont stand behind their product's quality should NOT be worthy of your money. They were even unaware that the Miata was a convertible.

If you get black or white, they should be fine. But any color WILL fade, whether you use the "uv protectant" or not. Also, keep in mind the customer service you will recieve before you spend your 250 dollars.
