Multi-piece woodgrain trim kit with adhesive backing for dash, door, and electronics surround. Cost (as of June'01) is $249.00 for the M2 and $229 for the M1.

Kit was received promptly and in excellent condition from Moss Motors from order entered on their web site. Kit has MANY pieces that accent each and every electronic switch, vent opening, etc. in the M2 interior. The only thing that was not included was the surround for the power side door mirrors adjustment - which I don't think has a place to stick an aftermarket surround. My wife installed all the pieces in 3+ hours this Saturday. The kit included a 3M pre-adhesive prep pad and the 3M peel-and-stick adhesive backing pre-applied to the individual pieces. All pieces installed without any breakage using a good hair dryer for the heat source. I probably would have messed it up because of my fat fingers! Definitely a job requiring patience, delicate handling, and an eye for detail. BUT, the results are stunning. Our MBM '99 w/Tan leather interior now looks very much like our '01 Avalon XLS with the fancy wood-grain trim package.

The Moss Motors product (when properly applied, of course) cannot be distinguished from OEM IMHO. We are very impressed by the product and installed results. My wife feels like it was money well spent on her Miata ride. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to remove the aftermarket wood grain accent trim pieces. But, they probably can be taken off without damaging the OEM black surrounds if one is very careful in doing so.

Difficult to remove without leaving damage

The seven piece kit for the dash and the center console

It was very easy to install provided you follow the instructions to the letter, especially the part that tells you to clean the dash off before you attempt to apply the pieces. It looks good and really dresses up the interior, especially if you have the light tan leather interior like I have. It took about an hour and a half to apply all the pieces. I also added a the wooden gearshift knob and the brade handle which I purchased for the dealer. Both also look good and really enhance the over look of the interior of the car.
