Racing Beat ULTRA Ignition Wires

High performance ignition wires from Racing Beat.

Ordered these from GoMiata as replacements for some aging NGK blue wires. The overall appearance is of very high quality, and upon intallation, the car revs more freely, runs more smoothly, and feels as though it has a few more horses under the hood during acceleration (espeically at higher rpms).

These wires were expensive... close to $100, but I'm very satisfied with the results. Are they that much better than a new set of NGK blue's would have been for $40? I don't know, but I don't feel like I wasted my money.

Two Ultra ignition wires purchased from Racing Beat

All apects of the purchase were extremely satisfactory. I have no mechanical aptitude but was able to install the wires in a few minutes. My 2002 had recently been serviced (48000 km) and new NGK plugs installed. The plugs had made a noticeable improvement in the running of the car. The wires had a similar effect i.e. the car runs and idles smoother. As a previous reviewer had noted, the car is now even more enjoyable to drive.

Racing Beat Ultra sparkplug 2 wire set for 2001 and newer Miata's

Purchased from GoMiata with excellent service. Like always Racing Beat's product quality is the best there can be. I've had these before on my M1 and there was no question it was going to happen on my newer 2001 car. I'm writing this because there is so little information about the life expectency of 2 wire factory plug sets and there's very few aftermarket options if someone needs to replace them.

After a long trip my car developed what felt like a plug wire miss. I had 20K miles on the car and understood the factory wires were to have a better life expectency than the earlier models so my first choice was to try new plugs. Nothing changed. After procrasinating for a while (65$ for 2 plug wires seemed a bit steep) I broke down and bought them. Believe me it is well worth it. The car runs better that it ever has since my purchased of it last year. It runs so much smoother it's a pleasure to drive. I can't say why but it took a couple of days for it to smooth out, maybe something computer related I don't know? I would do it again in a heartbeat. The old rule of thumb "the first thing you change on a Miata is the plug wires" seems to hold true here too.

Racing Beat's Ultra Ignition wires. A premium product at a premium price of $95.00 + shipping from Racing Beat direct. Wires and boots are bright red silicone.

I bought these beacuase I read that the stock wires were a weak link. Quality of these Japanese made wires is impressive. I got the street version so no radio interference. Overall smoothness of engine has improved.

Easy install after I got the original wires off (draw a map of what goes where first!). Beautiful machined brass connectors are a work of art. I bough them for quality and the red colored boots. Hopefully they will last many years.
