Ryan-Performance TT Style Winblocker

Product arrived two weeks after ordering.Packaged very nicely.Installed in about 5-10 min.Looks good in miata. At city driving the product performed as described, blocking the wind from the neck below. However at highway speed it flexes and kept hitting the rear brace. Now there is a straight line scratch in the middle of the windblocker.

If you do a lot of highway driving i do not recommend this product.

Clear acrylic plastic wind blocker. Custom mounts. "TT" Audi style.

I've spent the last 2 months looking for a wind blocker. I wanted something that was perfectly clear, so it didn't block any vision, and a blocker that also allowed full seat movement.

The wind blocker mounts look great and installed in about 10 minutes. The plastic blocker screws into the mounts with 4 hex bolts and 8 washers. It was a little difficult getting the bolts and washers on, as the mounts are slightly angled forward. I solved this by purchasing longer M6 bolts and wingnuts. I mounted the longer bolts from the back side of the mount, opposite of the instructions. Now I can slip on the washers, wind blocker, and tighten down the wingnuts in a matter of 1-2 minutes. Also, with the wingnuts, I don't have to carry an allen wrench around. The quality of the wind blocker and mounts is very good. It makes a BIG difference running down the highway. Note: I installed a Miata brace bar on my '91, and the wind blocker sits right behind it. The seats have full travel. Also note: I found it difficult to install without getting finger prints on the plastic. A pair of soft cotton gloves used during installation solved this problem.

Ryan-Performance Windblocker

Great experience with the wind blocker, I had it for more than 2 months, and drive with the top down every time that I can, it really makes a big difference. Now I can hear my stereo, have papers on the passenger seat, and the best of all… My wife love it, she said that now she can raid on the car without a mess on the hair. Really easy to install, even without the 10 mm socket wrench (I don’t have it) Looks great like the Audi TT model and very resistant to impacts (3 year old kick it really hard and didn’t crack). I'm very satisfied with the product bought it on the Internet and the experience was really smooth… Highly recommend it to anyone thinking to keep the wind outside your Miata.

Ryan Performance Windjammer Sport windblocker, clear model and installed on a '96.

Straightforward installation. Very pleased with the quality and fit of the product. The item was as described in every way. No surprises. The fit and finish of the windblocker was very good. Easy to attach the brackets to existing shock tower bolts. Windblocker fits tightly to the brackets with no vibration or noise during use.

Disadvantages: Unit does not have hinges that allow it to fold down. Advantages: Unit is nearly invisible and does not detract from the lines of the car. It is proportional to the car. Does not interfere with lowering or raising the top. Can still use the rear shelf for small parcels. Factory boot cover can still be used. No real need to fold unit down. Reduces wind turbulence in the cockpit to a good degree. Easy to remove. Quality materials and does not flex or vibrate during use. More stylish than other windblockers on the market. Reasonable price. Company good to deal with and they care about your satisfaction. I would say this windblocker is the best compromise. Nearly invisible in keeping with my desires and reduced wind buffeting for my spouses desires. Would recommend the product without hesitation.

Clear acrylic windblocker installs discreetly with two black metal brakets. The brackets are hidden completely under the rear stabilization bar (on older models) and the windblocker does not get in the way of the seat back movement or the convertible top. Simple installation with just a screw driver. A remarkable difference in reducing excess turbulence in the cabin.

Very high quality materials and finish, simple and elegant design, and the attachment is completely hidden, making the windjammer appear to float on the back. Installation was very easy and simple, and the design is definitely in line with the elegance and simplicity that defines a Miata. With my seats pushed all the way back, the windjammer does not get in the way, as some of the other products do. It also stays clear of the convertible top, so you can install once and forget it's there...until you start driving fast. It works very effectively, as promised. I can leave pieces of loose paper on the passenger seat without worrying about them flying out, but I still get all the wind in my hair. Clear material is completely invisible through the rear-view mirror, unlike the mesh blockers.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the product and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a windblocker for their Miata. It's a much better design than the factory option, let alone any other after-market products I've seen.

Acrylic wind blocker with cool brackets and no drilling.

An excellent product, the easiest thing to install. All I needed was a 10mm socket wrench and the 4mm hex tool came with the kit. Product arrived as promise as I took advantage of some kind of special for $130. The brackets are very nice, and light weight. It look exactly like the Audi TT on the website, looks great! Installed in about 10 minutes without the instructions. I later found out what to do with the extra washers and went back and added them. This assembly requires no cutting, no drilling, and the factory boot still fits. The top goes up and down without a problem.

I'm very happy with my purchase and the envy of other Miataphilies!

Acrylic TT-style windblocker

Extremely easy to mount to the safety belt tower using existing screws. Mounting bracket allows adjustment to accomodate all seat positions and is completely compatible with the cockpit brace. You are also able to adjust the windblocker to allow use of the soft boot and/or a rear window cover. I purchased one in charcoal because I have a black miata with a black interior and thought it would look better. The windblocker is available in clear as well as a shade of green.

The whole experience from purchase to shipment to attachment of the windblocker went without a single problem. Would readily recommend to anyone wanting an affordable, stylish windblocker that can be left in place with the top up or down, provides good wind protection and is idiot proof to install.
