Lightweight aluminum flywheel advertised as direct bolt up replacement for the stock flywheel.
I installed one of their flywheels and was left with a non-functional clutch. I removed the product and had it looked at by a mechanic and a professional machinist. Both concurred that the pressure plate mount surface is 49 thousandths of an inch too close to the crankshaft mount surface, causing a disengagement problem with the clutch. I shipped it back to Fidanza. They deny the problem, claiming the measurement to be correct, and refuse to stand behind their product. Since receiving my flywheel back, I took it to another independent mechanic and asked him if it would work, without giving him any instruction of what problems to look for. He found the exact same measurement discrepancy.
As a company, Fidanza is dishonest and does not stand behind their product. Don't buy Fidanza.

Aluminum flywheel. Weighs approx. 8.5 lbs. to stock flywheel's 18-19 lbs.
I've had this on the car for close to 600 miles so far.
I replaced the clutch on my '94 recently and added the flywheel while everything happened to be apart anyway. I used an OEM clutch from Trussville Mazda and purchased the flywheel from GSC Motorsports (www.gscmotorsports.com) where I found Greg to be very helpful, prompt and courteous. The performance increase after the installation was immediate. The engine revs much faster and throttle response is stellar. There is a slight buzz when down shifting at high RPMs, but at idle, it is quiet and smooth. Overall, it's an excellent upgrade to go along with a clutch replacement.
