Warren has great customer service skills and is an honest person. After telling him the exterior and interior color of my miata I asked him if black or polished would look better, he assured me black (less expensive) would look best. Easy install. About 10-15 minutes. Bar looks great. High quality product.

Big problem with the style bar and my Robbins glass no-zip top. My Robbins top has the glass window heat sealed directly into the top of the rear panel with no overlapping quarters. Top is very difficult to raise with the style bar. The glass window gets stuck under the bar and the top of the bar hits the window and rattles when the top is up. Probably

Great product, but may not work with all aftermarket tops.

Frenzy "Classic" Chrome Style Bar

It's a great looking product. Installation WOULD have been a snap had I not overlooked one critical instruction.

My wife and I ordered the bar just before Thanksgiving 2007 and it arrived yesterday. The bar was beautiful. It was our own fault that the install took nearly 2 HOURS to complete. Here's what happened: Per the instructions we removed the cockpit brace and shoulder belt bolts and placed the bar in place and began to attempt to bolt it down to the shoulder belt attachments. The bolt, however, was frustratingly (and seemingly inexplicably) too short. We tried and tried and tried and tried ... to no avail. We re-read the instructions; we removed/added/removed washers; we repositioned (and re-repositioned ad nauseum) the bar and bolt angle (we dropped the metal spacer tube, losing it into the plastic interior trim too); we prayed; in short, we did everything we could think of ... again and again, to no avail. Finally after nearly 2 hours of frustration we RE-READ the instructions AGAIN and found our problem. Instruction # 2 clearly states to "Remove the spacers [the metal tubes like the one we dropped behind a plastic trim panel] from the bolt and the metal block from under the plastic shoulder belt trim." Instruction # 3 parenthetically adds "The metal block spacer will not be reused." Sure enough, there was this annoying little metal block with a hole drilled into it that had to be removed along with the other parts of the shoulder belt bolt assembly ... DUMB US. We removed it and voila the style bar went on like a charm ... and in seconds. It looks beautiful and really "jazzes up" our black/tan '94. We're glad we ordered. I would humbly suggest either/both some photographs to accompany the instructions and/or a BOLD TYPE emphasis of the "Remove ... the metal block ..." instruction for '94-'97 Miatas. It might save someone else from a needless, embarassing, 2 hour long mistake during installation. With that said, I strongly recommend the Frenzy product.

This bar looks great!! High quality product weighed more than I expected. This bar also has in integral bar chassis stiffener. Really changes the look and feel of the car. I also bought the bag and windblock. The bag is handy as luggage, but putting top up/down requires removing the bag. The only real downside is the soft boot doesn't fit perfectly - a little snug directly under the bar itself. Boot still goes on and looks great, but I may file down a bit of plastic so the boot slides under the bar all of the way. Highly recommend this product.

Installation was accomplished within ten minutes, wind blocker added quickly and it works better than the hooded type that fits over the top of the seats. Bar allows for full movement of seats and permanent attachment of top boot to its snaps, pouch attaches to bar and fits perfectly between seats, and it looks GREAT. My wife and I agree that it is the finishing touch that the car needed. It gets seen a lot here in South Florida.

Frenzy viper style bars and hard boot cover

Bought and installed myself

Warren is a great guy to do business with. I had one small problem with my order, I called and he fixed it quickly. The only complaint I have is with the hard deck cover. It installs easy enough but it doesn't fit in the trunk very well. It does fit in the trunk but be sure to put down some kind of thick cloth (such as thick towels) to cover the edges of the boot cover. I didn't put anything down and now I have 3 or 4 huge scratches on the cover. Also, for the money I was disappointed with the boot cover. The ABS plastic is quite thin and there are better looking deck covers out there. However, it was very easy to install. It took about 10 minutes to do the initial installation and about 5 minutes to put it on and off now. It fits pretty well but it kind of "flaps" a little bit with the wind striking it. The style bars look great, were easy to install and fit very well. However, they do obstruct my seat travel just a little and where I had my seat pushed all the way back ! it tore a small hole in my seat. So don't push your seat all the way back. I would do business with Frenzy and Warren again but would not pay $200+ for the deck cover.

I had two concerns before ordering this package. 1. That the bar would look cheesy. Too much chrome. 2. That the windblocker would not be that effective. (considering I started out looking for a windblocker in the first place) My fears were unfounded and the bar looks great. It's rock solid and looks like it belongs. With the saddlebag and the boot on it really give the car a slick, finished look. The windblocker works surprisingly well. You do not take a beating on the highway, much less noise, and can ride top down in much cooler temps than without it. I can't compare it to other windblocks like TC or Topdown but it does what I wanted it to do. Another nice plus I found my car cover fits nicely into the saddlebag, filling out the bag and getting the cover out of my way.

The windblocker works well, but is is cumbersome to install with the straps. I have made 2 improvements to the windblocker. 1. The straps would slip on the bar, so I put a small piece of rubber or TPV under the starp against the bar. Now it doesn't slip after being on the road. 2. Chromed double-hooped style bar with saddle bag and wind blocker.

This Cobra-style style bar looks great on a 2K Miata. The black powder-coated bar, chromed hoops, wind blocker and saddle bag all arrived in excellent conditon and each is a high quality component. The bar takes about 15 minutes to install and is rigid and very attractive. As compared to other bars, there is no reduction in seat travel at all. I should mention that the pictures on the Frenzy website are a bit misleading and don't do the bar justice. In the pictures it looks like the hoops actually frame the top of the seatback, but on a 2K Miata there is about a 4" gap between the top of the seat and the hoop. In my opinon, this looks better than any style bar I've seen. The wind-blocker, which is a good 6-8" higher than the factory windblocker, fits into 2 slots on the bar and then has 2 straps that wrap nicely around the hoops. I haven't tried it yet as my hardtop is on for the winter, but it should work great.

Overall, I am very impressed with the quality and fit of this product. It looks like a classic Cobra bar and appears as nicely as (and similar to)those in the Audi TT. When you consider the cost of the package compared to the individual components sold elsewhere, it's also quite a deal.

I struggled over which “Roll Bar” I would put on My 200 Classic Red Miata. I decided to go with the Frenzy Style bar after reading other product reviews and chatting with another satisfied customer and looking at pictures of the bar on his web sight. The bar came UPS ground in four days to The East Coast from Midwest in Great condition. I installed the bar in about ½ hour after finding out which side was designed to face the front of the car. There are two relief’s on the support bar and I thought they were made there for the seat backs to clear, maybe some day the manufacture will stamp a small arrow pointing to the front of the car to help us mechanicly challenged guys out. I had to do no cutting of interior trim and the bar fit perfectly and I have not been able to find any imperfections in the chrome. The best part was I saved about $80.00 by buying this bar and where do you find that these days? All in all a great buy and value.

As sad as the thought is that some day I might have to part with my little Red friend and I also believe that resale would be better if I didn’t hack the car’s interior up.

Twin Hoop Chrome Style Bar - installed on a 2001 Miata Frenzy bars sold at http://www.geocities.com/warrenthomson/index.html

I was told that it would take about 2-2.5 hours to install. It took me 4, probably because I was a moron. The instructions were hard to follow, because there wasn't any pictures provided, but I managed to get it done. It fit quite easily and bolted on to existing holes in the seat belt tower. Trimming of plastic is necessary on the seat belt tower in order to fit properly. A word from the wise: trim small pieces at a time until the plastic covers fit. Reason: I massacred the drivers' side cover and it left a bit of a hole. However, I learned my lesson on the passenger side. Most of the time would be taken trimming the plastic.

Generally, I'm very happy with this product, stiffened up the rear chassis, and looks great on the car!!! (I've got a silver 2001 so the chrome looks REALLY good with it) I also purchased the plastic windblocker, which fit between the two hoops - awesome, my girlfriend's hair doesn't blow when I have the top down now. The windblock I purchased is different than the one shown on www.geocities.com/warrenthomson/index.html , it's just spans BETWEEN the two hoops. Overall, Frenzy has created a great looking bar, and for $199 US (+ shipping), it has the best value for the dollar on the market, bar none. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Painted four point roll bar made by Frenzy Products.

The total installation time was approximately 4 hours and requires a special short 3/8" drill bit and angled drill for mounting the rear supports to the frame rails. It also requires trimming of the plastic interior pieces around the seat belt tower and the sheetmetal cover on the rear window deck, so it is important to install with care. The instructions were brief and without pictures, but helpful. I am pleased with appearance and the added chassis rigidity but am unhappy with the loss of full seat recline. If you like to recline your seat until it is parallel with and touching the aft fire wall, the datum bar will interfere. The datum bar is notched out, but not enough for full recline @ full aft seat tracking. I contacted the vendor and received very professional and concerned customer support. A full refund was offered, but I was not willing to remove and replace this bar with another manufacture's bar, in fear of the same problem.

Overall, I would recommend this bar to anyone who is looking for a quality product for a reasonable price, if you do not track and recline your seat to touch the aft firewall.

Four Point Chrome "Double Hoop" Style bar >From Frenzy Miata - http://www.geocities.com/warrenthomson/index.html Installed on a 1995 Miata with plastic window. - Manufacturer states that it is NOT for Rollover protection. This is one bar that lives up to it's name! Plenty of STYLE!

This bar not only bolts to the seatbelt mount as other bars, it also has 2 rear supports that mount to the trunk. It not only looks good.. but it also stiffens the entire rear of the car. The quality of the chrome is excellent. I was also amazed at the exact fitment of the bar.. like it was made for the car!! However, installation is not for the faint of heart. Although not difficult, it does involve cutting & drilling into your Miata, something I was reluctant to at first. I'm one of those type of guys that measure, fit, measure, fit, cut and then I'm still off! I took a weekend to carefully install it. For the rear mounts to reach the trunk, the trunk cover plate must be removed & cut. The rear deck must be slightly clearanced, 2 rear plate holes are drilled on each side of the trunk, the rear rug must be cut for the supports to pass through. Also, as with the other bars, the plastic seat belt covers must be cut.

My seat belt towers had a lip that required bending to an upright position. The bar then dropped in perfectly. Comments: -Great Looks -Good Quality -Precise fit -Unique -Strengthens entire rear structure -Instructions are concise but brief -Doesn't interfere with top, however, the unzipped window looks "stressed" draped over the rear supports. I now fold the window instead. Things to consider: -Requires cutting & drilling of body, rear rug, & top boot. Not easy to undo. -Cosmetically, I would have prefered the center tube of the bar to be welded all the across the flat base bar. When I contacted Frenzy, they promptly responded and agreed, but explained the heat from this would deform the bar. -Bar slightly reduces the amount of seat reclining. -Optional Windscreen further reduces seat recline, if your "significant other" Miata passenger is tall, trade them in for a shorter model. It is worth it! (plus the change of pace will do you good!)
